Almost there!

Whew!
Almost there. Just a few days to go. I got my last post in for LIS 2000. Now I need to work on my web page and figure out what's wrong with my Koha.

I sent in my last hot topic response. I certainly will not miss those.

I'm here in the library trying to work on my response for LIS 2000. I received some bad news today. The husband of a dear friend passed away this morning and I pray that all will be well with the family. I trust that everything will be fine. In the mean time I will concentrate on Pitt.

I finally got my lap top. Now I am ready and waiting for Dr. Tomer next semester.

This is the last lap. I am almost near the end. August 3rd is the big day. Just a few more assignments to turn in.

Working on my web page is actually fun. I think I'll continue playing around with this some more.

Now i can't work on my web page because I'm sick. I'll pick this up tomorrow.

Still working on that web page. Hope to wrap things up this weekend.

Today was a good day. I was able to complete Laws on the Web and also attended a great dinner for the VIWP. (Virgin Islands Writing Project.) Now I am going to work on my web site.

Almost there. Just a few more weeks till the end of the semester.

I got my response in for this week. Yeah me!

I had the most horid day yesterday. My wallet and keys were stolen and I had the most unpleasant experience with our fine men and women in blue. I won't go into any details but I am certain that my blood pressure is at an all time high.

Ok so I completed Grazr but my grass won't show on my blog. I have no idea what I did wrong. I tried doing it over several times but to no avail. I'm fed up. It stays as is.

I have work to do and I didn't even realize how much. This sabatical has its consequences.

The Pitt server has been down for a few days. I don't know what the problem is exactly. I know I should be concerned but I am not. I just see it as a well deserved break. Sorry.

No more wedding stress

My sister's wedding was yesterday and they are finally on their honeymoon. I am so relieved. Everything went perfectly. I am very happy for the new couple. Now I can get some school work done.

I have managed to survive the week so far. It has been a great but hectic week for me. Tomorrow my baby sister will be married and I am very happy for her. I am still very busy with all the preparations but it will all be over soon. Then I'll be back on track.

It is Sunday and i still have not been able to get started on my paper. Why is this so hard. It seems impossible to even find the words to say. I pray that I get it at least halfway done by today or else I am in for a long night tomorrow.

Today I am here at the library trying to read reviews of Code 2.0. Thanks to these reviews I have some idea of what he's talking about. Hopefully I will get this done before long.

Today I am going to brave the world of Zotero. I still have no idea what I am doing but I understand that today is the deadline for many things so I guess I have no choice but to get it done.

Today is Saturday and I am still working on some of those meta data and tagging assignments. One day third will all be over. I look forward to it.

Yeah for me! I got my first perfect score on anything I have ever done for this class. Finally. I can do something right in this class. I got a perfect 10 on my second book review. Sooooooooo hurrrrayyy for me.

Back on track

I'm finally back on track. Today is the first day that I have done any substantial school work. Hurray for me I am back on track. I am in the process completing my connotea tags and hopefully getting started on those for Delicious and Zotero. I know I am being ambitious but a girl can ope can't she? That's all folks.

Highlights from ST.T

Our trip to St. Thomas was not without its highlights. For one Renise fell off the bed. Some people thought it was an earthquake. That was hillarious. Then to top it all off, Janice followed her bag through the terminal and watched it being loaded on to the plane for fear of it not getting there. Totally hillarious. It made up for the lack of proper food.

Great Presentations

We are here on St.Thomas for the on campus visit of the MLIS team. Apart from the dilema with food and transportation, the trip was not a total waste. The St. Thomas cohort was very accomodating. Thanks Rory, Kayembe, and Annice for all your help. Without you guys we would have starved. Also, the presentations were all excellent.

This is too much

It's after 3 am and I have not even gone to bed yet. Is this the way it's going to be for the next two years? Is there life after this course? Pray tell... I'm preparing for my trip to St. Thomas. Gotta get it over with.

ST. Thomas here I come. Now I'm here trying to get this powerpoint organized for our presentation on St. Thomas. I am drained.. I pray that I will at least have some semblance of a life after this summer. I am still trying to decipgher those confusing instructions from the professor about koha....

YEAH ME!!!

I am finally finished with my first major book review. Yeah me!!! After painstakingly slaving through this paper for days I can't believe that I pulled it off in the nick of time. Now I can concentrate on all the other assignments that I have neglected.

WOW

I just viewed the wiki of this group's presentation. WOW! What an awesome presentation. I was totally floored. Now my group has to follow that act. One more thing for me to stress about. As if this week's paper of 1500 words isn't enough. I am here hyperventilating because I don't even have a word on paper yet; and it's certainly not for lack of trying. I hope there is an end in sight. Help.....

Doublefold chat

The online chat was very interesting last evening, however it was rather frustrating trying to get logged on. Although I have not finished reading all the texts for the paper due Monday, I actually understand the authors. Yeah me...

On another note, why isn't connotea as easy as endnote? It takes forever to tag one article, but I'm almost done, no worries.

I was finally able to access the Pitt Library. It really seems to be full of information on all kinds of topics. That's just great. I'm still trying to get on to Endnote. I hope I get through today.

I am so overwhelmed. How am I supposed to read these books in so little time, much less write a 1500 word paper on it? God knows I'm trying.

group presentations

I'm here wondering what on earth am I going to talk about for 40 minutes in a presentation. If anyone has any deas I'm all ears. I'm thinking about doing a presentation on Copyright and Intellectual issues.

I survived Kuhn

I finally finished my Kuhn book report. I am confused though, Deb could you clarify something for me? I just checked the syllabus and it said that the Kuhn review is supposed to be 250 words. Also that it is due by noon on Thursday. Was some alternate information given somewhere else. Help.
